Hey Reader, I'm following up on my last email, because it's real life and the more I thought about it, the more I had to say. 😊

I was a single mom AND a solo business owner for most of my adult life (and still am 🎉). It wasn't always easy financially, but I can honestly say I have never NOT done something I really wanted to do. Not because the money was sitting in the bank, but because if I wanted it bad enough I figured out a way to get it.

And I've found that to be true for most humans - even if they're not always honest with themselves about it.

For me, I stopped saying I couldn't afford things and started being honest about what I was willing to spend my money on. Instead of saying, "I don't have the money" I'd say "I don't want to use my money for that." Instead of saying "I don't have time" I'd say, "That's not a priority for me right now."

Truth is, it was always my choice, not a situation I had no say in. And owning that was way more empowering.

Healing work is hard to put in that framework because it's not tangible the way a new house or a cruise or a new car is tangible. It's a way of life that becomes different. It's a feeling inside yourself that upgrades. And that sometimes feels so intangible that we set it aside, distracting ourselves with 'busy-ness' or thinking it'll change when the new house or the new relationship or the new job shows up.

But you know as well as I do that it doesn't. It might feel better temporarily, but it always cycles back around and we end up right back in the same feeling, the same situation, the same stuck.

So this is your call to action, Love. Whether it's this work or some other work you've been drawn to but keep stepping away from...what is on the other side of that that keeps calling you forward? What are you longing to feel or experience in your life that you're NOT feeling or experiencing now? Make THAT your tangible. The thing you can touch and feel and live into.

Don't get bogged down in what the work is going to look like or what you're afraid might happen, because I promise you - whatever you're imagining, it's not that. Not in this work anyway.

I want you to imagine the results. What does one day in your life look like without the constant voice that tells you you're not enough, you're broken, you're too small, you're unworthy, you're unlovable, you'll never measure up? Can you imagine waking up and just... not picking that up?

That's your tangible.

I'll say it again - I would love, LOVE for you to do this work, but whether you do this or something else, I wholeheartedly encourage you to move in the direction you feel pulled, not backwards toward where you feel stuck. Just put one foot in front of the other and move toward it.

Your call to action is to stop telling yourself it's not bad enough or you're not stuck enough and just do the damn work. You're absof***inglutely worth it, my friend.

I'm right there with you every step of the way.

With love, Kate 💗

Hey, have I told you this story? A dear client referred a friend years ago who had severe anxiety and panic about flying. She'd always had it - flew once or twice - but it was so bad she just stopped. But now it mattered. She'd been offered the job of her dreams and she would have to travel worldwide. There were no good options - heavily medicate every time she flew, white-knuckel it and take her chances, or turn the down the job. That's when she came to me, determined and willing to try...

Hey Reader, when was the first time you knew your life was your own? Someone asked me that once and my first answer was I ALWAYS knew my life was my own, because a part of me absolutely did. That very independent, very determined "I do it myself" little one who knew what she wanted and had no problem stomping her foot for it. Oh, believe me - she's still in there, but the more I thought about the question, the more I realized I stopped trusting that confident, knowing little spit-fire part of...

I gotta be honest Reader, unsubscribes still break my heart a little. 😪 I have a tiny little email community and even those I've never met in person feel like friends, so when one of you goes away, I feel it. But I feel everything, so there's that. 🤷♀️ In marketing, it's called "self selecting" and apparently, it's a good thing, but the people pleaser in me wants to make everybody happy. Yeah, she's still in there - wanting to do eveything right so people don't leave her. But it happens. And...
