Two things can be true at the same time

Hey,

And hello Monday! I've got a two things can be true at the same time story:

So, I've had "List Dot" on my calendar every day for months - which meant, post my sweet little vintage VW convertible for sale. She's a '74 and I've had her since my oldest daughter graduated from high school in 2007 - my "just because I wanted her" gift to myself. I loved tootling around to run errands, or taking my middle-schooler and friends to TP the boys' houses. (don't judge - we got TP'd plenty 😂) We had lots of good times in that sweet little Bug!

I hadn't driven her for a long time, but every day when I opened the garage door, there she was - and I'd just smile and put it off a little longer.

It wouldn't be a problem, except those girls are both Mamas now and life is different. I have littles. With car seats. And it gets hot in a car in Texas, no matter how many shade trees you have. And those shade trees produce bird poop! As much as I loved my Dot, I needed my garage back. 😭

So I got her up to speed (yes, pun intended) and finally posted her for sale last week. Within an hour, I got a call from someone who wanted to surprise his wife, and two days later they picked her up. That was it - meant to be! It made my heart happy, because I know they'll love her as much as I do, but it broke a little too, watching her drive away.

And there, my friend, is what letting go feels like. It's never one clean moment of release. It's the right decision AND the grief. The freedom AND the sadness. The new awareness AND the old patterns.

And isn't that so familiar - knowing something or someone has served a purpose in our life, and loving ourself enough to let it go anyway? It might take some time, but I believe we know when we're ready. When I finally marked that task "complete" on my calendar, it felt really good.

It's the same no matter what we're moving on from. 30 years of guiding people back to themselves, that moment always comes. Grief might try to negotiate more time, but the Truth is already in motion. The gifts come when we're brave enough to hold our Truth and our heartache at the same time.

So, is there something you've been putting off a little longer? Tell me about that.

With love, Kate 💗

Hey Reader, A few days ago I shared what happened on the highway - that big-ass truck that pushed us out of my lane into oncoming traffic. Thank God we're still here. And thank you for holding that space for me.🙏 In the old days, I would've shoved that trauma down deep with the whole "well, at least we didn't die", or "yeah, but we're okay now, so let's move on". And that's where it would have stayed - down deep - in my nervous-system, wreaking havoc. I know better now, but that's what most...

Hi Love, In honor of my little slice of "Baboo" wisdom I shared Monday - "I'm willing to help anyone who's willing to help themselves" this month only, I’m doing Breakthrough Blueprints™ LIVE! Same thing you know - you fill out the Discovery form, I review it before we meet and create your Blueprint - but instead of sending you a recorded video, we sit down together on Zoom and walk through it in real time. You get your Blueprint AND a LIVE 1:1 with me, where you can ask questions, dive...

Hey, Something I've been thinking about... I'll always remember my grandmother "Baboo" saying, "I'm willing to help anyone who's willing to help themselves." And she meant it. She was one of the most generous people I've ever known, but she was NOT an enabler. How'd she know?? 😊 She wasn't judgy or preachy, she just had clear boundaries with her time, energy and resources and she honored it. In her wisdom, I always knew I had support, but more importantly, that I had a choice about my own...
